Social Events

Age Concern City of London runs regular trips and outings to a variety of places of interest.

In the past few months we’ve visited the Salters and Tallow Chandlers Halls, the Museum of Brands, the Royal Academy (twice!), and the Painted Chapel and Royal Observatory at Greenwich – including a fabulous boat trip.

All of our trips are free and are open to anyone aged 55+ living in and around the City.

Don’t have anyone to go with? Not a problem! Our trips and events a great way to meet other City residents and make new friends, and are always supported by friendly volunteers.

Amazon Audible Audiobook Club

This informal group meets once every three months on a Thursday afternoon, at the headquarters of Amazon Audible, near Barbican station. We listen to an excerpt of an audiobook and then chat about it over tea and home-made cakes. Amazon’s lovely staff always make us feel really at home!

If you want to, there are free audiobook downloads and CDs to take away with you.

If you would like to know more about any of these activities, please contact Alice on awestlake@ageuklondon.org.uk or 020 7091 2593
