Age Concern City of London runs regular trips and outings to a variety of places of interest.

Delve into ancient or modern history, art, architecture, cinema, opera, formal gardens and beautiful parkland. Enjoy cute baby animals, vintage toys, boat trips and panoramic views, or simply a stroll along the headland at Maldon followed by delicious fish and chips in the local pub. All of this and more is what you get from regular attendance on our trips. And the best thing is, most of them are free!*

Our schedule of trips and activities includes an outing at least once a month. See our latest programme here: Winter spring 2018 trips

Don’t have anyone to go with? Not a problem! Our trips and events a great way to meet other City residents and make new friends, and are always supported by friendly volunteers.

Trips are open to anyone aged 50+ living in and around the City. Transport can sometimes be arranged for those who need it – just contact Alice to discuss your needs.

*Whilst we try our best to keep them free, occasionally we might ask for a small contribution of between £2-5. This will be clearly stated in advance.

Amazon Audible Audiobook Club

This informal group meets once every couple of months on a Thursday afternoon, at the headquarters of Amazon Audible, near Barbican station. We listen to an excerpt of an audiobook and then chat about it over tea and cakes. Amazon’s lovely staff always make us feel really at home!

If you want to, there are free audiobook downloads and CDs to take away with you.

If you would like to know more about any of these activities, please contact Alice on awestlake@ageuklondon.org.uk or 020 7091 2593
